Marcha Prottas Flint has traveled the world to give her students advanced anthropological data
MONTCLAIR, NJ, February 26, 2010 /University PR News/ --Marcha Prottas Flint, Ph.D., Psy.D., Professor Emerita at Montclair State University, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Higher Education. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.
Marcha Prottas Flint is a respected figure in academia with over 33 years of professional experience in higher education. A specialist in the field of physical anthropology and reproductive aging on a cross-cultural basis, Dr. Flint has traveled across the world to provide her students with advanced anthropological data. She possesses an extensive educational resume boasting a Psy.D. and M.Psych in psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, a Ph.D. from the City University of New York, a master of arts from New York University and a bachelor of arts from Hunter College. Following her doctorate studies, Dr. Flint received a Fulbright scholarship to continue her studies in Indonesia in 1985.
Dr. Flint initially became involved in her profession after taking the advice of her mentor at Hunter College to pursue further education and follow a career in higher education. Today, she is an active member of her professional and sociological communities, affiliated with such organizations as The New York Academy of Sciences, The American Psychological Association, The Human Biology Council, American Association of Physical Anthropologists, American Association for the Advancement of Science and International Menopause Society. In an exclusive interview with Cambridge Publishing, Dr. Flint noted that without hard work and discipline, she would not be able to enjoy the success that she does today. Dr. Flint resides in New Jersey and Florida.
